We’re excited to celebrate Victoria (Tori) Patton as our Tutor of the Month for October 2025! Based in Riverside, California, Tori brings heart, humor, and a deep commitment to every tutoring session, making learning more enjoyable and meaningful for her students.

With three years of tutoring experience under her belt, Tori specializes in Reading, Writing, and Math for elementary and middle school students. Like many of our tutors, Tori is a decorated tutor who earned a Bachelor of Arts, Psychology, a Master of Education, Applied Human Development, and a Master of Arts, Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Her approach is grounded in both educational expertise and personal connection. Whether she’s guiding students through tricky math concepts or encouraging reluctant readers, Tori knows how to create a space where growth and confidence can flourish.

What she loves most about tutoring is the joy of interacting with kids and hearing their stories. For Tori, the proudest moments are when a student’s perspective shifts, when a subject they once dreaded becomes something they approach with curiosity and maybe even excitement.

One of her favorite teaching tips is to bring a little fun and personality into every session. Whether it’s chatting about a favorite video game or sharing weekend adventures, she finds that students are more engaged and open when they see their Tutor as a real person, not just a teacher.

Outside of tutoring, Tori has a passion for travel. She has visited an impressive 44 states. She also holds not one, but two master’s degrees, and counts tiramisu as her all-time favorite dessert.

Tori’s blend of educational skill, authenticity, and warmth makes her a standout member of the Firefly Tutors team. We’re thrilled to honor her this month and recognize the difference she’s making in the lives of her students.
