Congratulations to Jessica Medellin, our November 2025 Tutor of the Month! Based in Largo, Florida, Jessica brings care, attentiveness, and a personalized approach to every session, making learning a rewarding experience for each student she supports.

Jessica holds a Bachelor's in Elementary Education and is ESOL, ESE, and Reading-Endorsed. With a strong background in differentiated instruction, she tutors Reading, Writing, and Math, tailoring instruction to each student’s needs. Over the past year with Firefly Tutors, she has become a trusted guide for families seeking academic growth and individual support.

Jessica most enjoys tailoring her teaching to each student. She values the one-on-one connection tutoring brings, allowing room for both accommodation and enrichment. Her sessions are filled with encouragement, flexibility, and the belief that every child can thrive with the right support.

Jessica is proudest when students shine independently after mastering a new concept. For her, those 'lightbulb' moments, when a student realizes success, make the work fulfilling. Her top tip: Build confidence first, and learning follows.

Outside of tutoring, Jessica enjoys baking seasonal treats and experimenting with new recipes with her family. She also loves staying active, exploring parks, and spending quality time with loved ones.
